Rain Doesn't Clean Your Panels the Way You'd Expect

It's a common assumption in Assam: "the monsoon will wash the panels, no need to clean them." In practice, rain removes loose surface dust reasonably well, but it does very little for the fine silt, pollen, and soot that settles on a panel over weeks and then bakes on in the sun between showers.
